I recently changed my auto tranny fluid along with the final drive. I was shocked (and a bit angry) to find that there was "bloody red stuff" in the final drive! And only about two handfulls. Needslees to say, I drained it and used the proper gear oil at the proper level. Geez, some of these P.O.'s really amaze me...
