Well I have been able to unscrew the fuel tube nut from the elbow connector at the bottom of the old fuel filter, but now I absolutely cannot get the fuel tube itself out of the elbow. Granted that the car is 23 years old and has a little over 60k miles and these parts of the car have never been touched before, I still think that removing this filter is more difficult than it should be. I don't want to risk any damage to the "hard" fuel line by trying to tweak it out of the elbow connector, but I have to get it out in order to change the filter, but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions on how to get the tube out safely would be greatly appreciated.
