Ralphael, If you don't have the proper modification for the Battery light and you replace it with the LED bulb, then you will most likely blow the voltage regulator in the alternator. I wouldn't replace it. Continue to use the 161 bulb. It acts like a ballast resistor for the voltage going to the regulator. Also, it should rarely come on. If you must replace it, then a resistor needs to be put in line.
