Wiring is going to vary from car to car, because you never know what has happened in the past. Just because someone else has had a problem with something, that doesn't nessisarily mean that you're going to see the same thing. Especially with something like this. Offhand, I don't see how "bad wiring" is going to fry an appliance that you plug into the cigarette lighter. If anything were to have been damaged, it should have been something on the car. I've taken my car out for some late night war driving sessions, and have never had a problem with any of the laptop computers that I've plugged into my cigarette lighter. Never used a power invertor, but I don't forsee any problems with one. That is after all why the circuits are protected by fuses. As for the problem with your battery, you didn't post your VIN #. As there may be a fix that you could perform, that would rectify this. Although the condition of the battery at the time would also have ALLOT to do with your starting ability. In other words, did it have a full charge at the time? BUT! If you honestly are that worried about your car, I've only got one suggestion. Either don't drive the car, or gain some confidence quickly. 90% of the time, the fears that most DeLorean owners have about their cars are unfounded. Like in the movie, "Tommy Boy", it certainly is amazing how unessisarily comforting a warranty can be to people... -Robert vin 6585 "X" To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
