Shannon, What you are describing is a "lights on reminder". I'm not sure if the original buzzer was supposed to provide this function but it is easy to replicate. You can buy a "lights on reminder" from JC Whitney for 8 bucks (part # SK734756N), your local car parts store or make one yourself from a diode and an electronic buzzer from Radio Shack (Part #s 276-1101 & 273-059) for 4 bucks. It gets connected between a wire that's "hot" when the ignition is on and a wire that's hot when the parking lights are on. I connected mine easily under the dash. If you need more details just ask.
