The most efficient way to remove the paint is with chemical strippers. You must be very careful not to get it on any painted or plastic surfaces. It is messy and creates a disposal problem. The BIG problem is that you may uncover a damaged panel that was repaired with body filler. My advice is to try to leave the paint alone unless you are ready to repair or replace body panels. You *could* remove the damaged panel (or panels) and send them to one of the Delorean venders for repair. After removing the paint you will probably have to regrain the whole car too.
