Have you ever bid on something simple on eBay, like a magazine for let's say $1.00 and then the seller gives you a $8.00 shipping charge to make up the difference? I HATE THAT! I prefer them be upfront and honest, so I offer "free shipping" to let you know that there will be no hidden fees later, but obviously the fee is included in the price of the item. So if you add up the cost of the packing material, shipping charge, item cost and etc.. it works out to be the same. So my speakers would cost you about the same as the ones you have shown in your link. The difference is that I always toss in a free Delorean related goodie, and also become a friend you can call on for tech support as well as the fact that you are helping to support the Delorean community. I would much rather buy an everyday part from a vendor rather than someplace else even if it costs a few extra bucks. Why? Because if the vendors don't survive then they might liquidate and go on to do something else.... when this happens we loose the ability to buy the things we want and ultimately the competition keeps us all on our toes. I buy products from every one of the vendors out there (except D1) and they all know me. It is also important to support the few publications out there, if you don't already have a subscription to GULLWING or DSC then get one. The magazines, car shows and vendors allow us the ability to enjoy our cars. This DML is just as important, so if someone like me offers something that will add to our cars there is no reason to put it or them down for doing it. I am not gouging the price at all, and making less that lunch money off the deal! So we should appreciate all the efforts of people like Toby who make cool new stuff for us all to enjoy! I am just trying to do the same thing, and since I am currently unemployed the extra money helps pay the bills so I can work on all this goofy stuff!
