That one's easy - wait for one of them to fail, then yank the trans. A bad pilot or TO bearing will give you tons of notice (i.e. noise) before it fails. Honestly - I've never seen one of these go bad before the car needed a clutch anyway (at least on a DeLorean - don't get me started on old Fords).
