I had a gofy thing happen once, the car would start, sputter and die.I noticed I could smell gas really bad so I pulled off the boot to the fuel pump and the friggin hose had COME OFF ans was just sitting there sucking the gas that was pooling in the boot! I reconnected it as tight as I could and everything has been fine since.
