If the pivot shafts are like PRV K Jetronic, are not pressed in. Fit is loose enough to slide the shaft by hand (I did loosen two screws on the air sensor plate arm that may hold it tighter to the shaft -- splits around the shaft and is pinched by the screws, accessible from underneath once the bottom of the fuel/air mixture unit is removed). In such case I wouldn't hesitate disassembling completely to get the adjustment screw out.
