Rich, please do keep us informed of everything you do/try/find out. I also experience the exact same problem with the 18kv coil, but not with the original, and have seen it on yet another car too. I would find it unlikely that it could be a single defective rotor since my car and the other one I saw were just replaced. Perhaps an enherent flaw with the design, I dont know.
