Hey all, I have a question and I don't know if it has been discussed much in the past. I have the auto in my car, and really, regrettably, I don't know that much about the Renault unit. I worked for a company that specialised in Jag trannys which were pretty standard Borg Warner units for the 6cyls, GM Turbos for the 12 cyls. With the GM transmissions there was a vacuum modulator that regulated the shift points for the transmissions. By adavancing an adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise you can change the shift points on the car to hold for a later RPM. What I want to know before I do too much investigation is, does anyone know of a way to do this with the Renault Auto in the DeLorean. Like I said, my transmission has been pretty solid, so I haven't needed to study it much, but I wish it would hold first and second gears a little longer.
