Another alternative is a pre-oiler.  This is an electric pump
that pressurizes the oiling system prior to starting the car.
It can also be used to circulate oil in the turbo bearings
once the car has been turned off.  This prevents coking the
oil in the bearings.  These systems are very popular with the
Turbo Esprit crowd.
