Nick - You definitely need to have the torsion bars throttled back a few notches. This condition will damage the rrof structure, the T top, and the strut mounts. Ideally, the doors will rise up gracefully, and stop just as they reach the top of the arc. That's what Winged1's doors do, anyhow. If they fling up like that, it means that the struts have been going bad for a long time, and somebody has compensated for that by tightening the bars progressively. Glad things are going to work out on the frame to lower control arm interference.
