Snap-On carries a 5/16ths out socket adapter for a 3/8 in. ratchet.  I have
bought two of them but I don't know the part number.  They were specially
made for some of the electrical companies.  The adapter and a 3 or 4 in.
3/8's extension works very well to get the oil drain plug out.
