Greetings all, In the thousands of miles I've driven my DeLorean, I've had virtually no mechanical issues. I've driven my car the width of the US (in terms of states, anyway), from Washington to N. Carolina, via St. Louis, no real problems. --But I can't seem to properly insulate my A/C box in the passenger footwell!! My car is early enough in production that it never came with the insulation on the evaporator box. As a result, water accumulates on my A/C box and eventually drips on my passenger's feet. I tried to insulate the box using a Rubatex, self adhesive insulation from Lowes. This worked well for about a week, until I assume the insulation worked its way off the box a bit, condensated underneath, and saturated the stuff enough to drip again. Doh! So what do you guys recommend I do? My next plan was to use some gasket cement, in an even coat, to adhere the initial layer of insulation to the box. Will this help? I should also note that the surfaces were clean and dry when I applied the insulation the first time, and my car pisses like a racehorse out the drainpipe for the box. -So no clogging there. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance, Jake Kamphoefner and 1063 -Giving passengers a free foot-wash!
