Have you ever replaced the handbrake cables? They can prevent the calipers retracting properly and will cause the pads to rub. This in turn can generate excessive heat and warp the discs - usually they only squeak once they've got pretty hot. In my own experience, really squealy brakes (main ones), are best approached by new pads and discs at the same time. We've also had excellent results using kevlar pads for the handbrake, but it might be an avenue for the main pads too.
