Actually you can use something called a 'torque stick' with an impact and that is NOT something that will damage the wheels. i think most people see greasy mechanic guys with an impact and they assume they are just putting the wheels on 'full force'. i would highly doubt any tire shop is stupid enough to put a wheel on w/o a torque stick (which are available in 65lbs). personally at home i have a mechanical torque wrench.
