Up until a few years ago the inventory of original DMC parts was housed in the Kapac warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. For at least the last few years of the warehouse's existence they had an annual warehouse tour, a one day event at which you could buy parts at drastically discounted prices. I attended several of these events. One of the most popular items they sold was the front "hood" emblem, which was sold at giveaway prices. I bought several myself. These metal emblems have an adhesive back and can easily be retrofitted to earlier DeLoreans. As a result, I expect that there are dozens of DeLoreans which did not originally have the emblems but bear them now. Obviously these cars have been modified and should face a point deduction in any serious concours competition, but it should be a very simple matter to remove the emblem with no damage to the car. - Mike Substelny To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
