If you are talking engine swaps, this is the one that makes the most sense to me. This engine is getting more and more attention in the "engine swap" circles. The V6 version is known as the "Shortstar". It weighs quite a bit less (90 lbs less, I'm told) than the Northstar V8 and that is a lot of weight saved behind the rear wheels. Having viewed the Northstar conversion, it would appear to me that the Shrotstar could be installed with almost no cutting into the engine compartment. These engines are somewhat readily available from auto dismantlers though they are now beginning to attract the attention of street rodders.
