With the proper gasket you do not have to tighten very much to seal. If the pan does bend it is common practice to just beat it flat against a piece of wood before reinstalling, like the sheet metal valve covers on American cars. They do tend to bend a little around the screw holes. It is only sheet metal so it bends easily. You shouldn't need to replace it unless you run soemthing over and tear the pan up (very unlikely).
