I think about the funniest thing I've heard was "I bet this thing would blow the doors off a Lamborghini!" When my first D was totalled by a drunk who hit me, the drunk's insurance adjuster said "so what's this car going to set me back... about $80k?" I should have just said yes and ran lol. But I'm really fickle about misinformation being spread about the cars, so I take the time every time I hear something untrue about the cars to correct it. While I love talking about the car, dispelling myths does get old after a while. Some of the cliches cease being cute and funny real quick, especially if you drive the car every single day like I do. I truly don't go a single day without someone approaching me in the car. Sometimes I just want to get gas or my groceries in peace, but I suppose that's part of the deal when one buys these cars. I suppose too I'm one of the few who actually thinks the REAL DeLorean story is far jucier and more interesting than all the crazy stuff we hear all the time. So I guess that's why I still bother to correct folks misinformation.
