Ah, the forbidden brass screws... Volvo literature claims that shear heads were used for US emissions law. I've uploaded a page to #5939's photo album documenting such. They're the same size screw as the air inlet screw -- for $10 or so you can replace them with a fully functional set. Note that European PRV's didn't use them. I've uploaded an ASCII file (IDLE.TXT) to the Files section explaining how to set them in lieu of the idle speed motor. Can't tell you the number of times people have told me a PRV won't run without CIS. Nonsense. Not only do I have no idle speed motor, I don't even have the ECU in my car anymore! And what do these people think Dourvin was doing for 10 years before CIS was invented?
