I live in Nevada, and tax values here decline each year, as the vehicles age, and are devalued. So I don't have a situation that's really 100% matching your's. However, I am curious about those values that they've placed on your car. What is their source for these car values, and how exactly are they calculating the taxes that they're trying to assess on your car? Here they devalue the MSRP over how many years old the car is (30% first year, and X% every year after that), and then tax the value that the car comes out to. $9K is quite a tax jump in one year. Question them on their method, and see if perhaps you can haggle it down. -Robert vin 6585 "X" To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
