Never had any emissions problems before with my D, but a week ago I failed for NOx. The usual culprits, I'm told, are the lambda sensor or the cat. conv. The sensor is only about 2 years old, so presumably ok. Not a good time budget-wise to replace the cat on an otherwise good running, good sounding (& smelling) car. Anybody had any success with engine additives, just to get me thru inspection? Or is NOx not something you can resolve other than by replacing the cat? :( Wayne A.
