I just called the auto shop because someone told me that he called them and they told him it wasn't for sale. In essence they told me the guy who said it was for sale (Ernie) really spoke out of turn and should not have said that, he just wants it out of there (how could you blame him after 4 years????). This time I spoke to Mark and he said the car belongs to a certain famous mafia boss' son-in-law (original owner) and that he would only be willing to sell for an offer that 'blew him out of the water'. The car is simply not worth it, in my opinion. I would imagine EASY 10,000 to get it running and looking nice (though I am not a mechanic, the interior is in pretty sorry shape and the thing has sat outside in the hot-humid, freezing-cold NYC weather most of its life). Let me know if you have any further questions and I'm sorry have made anyone waste their time.
