The best way to set it up is with a proper gas analyser in the ports on the crossover pipe, but they're a pain to get to. Here's a quick description of what I did last night. I turned the key to on and put my voltmeter on fuse 1 (while the fuse was still installed). I heard (what I believe to be) the RPM relay click. That seemed odd. Was that a stuck relay? Then I yanked fuse 1 and cleaned its contact and sprayed a little electrical cleaner on it. With the fuse back and fingers crossed, I cranked the engine. It fired up. The engine hunted for about 15 seconds, trying to stall. Eventually, the idle smoothed out and purred at 900-1000 RPMs. ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 3 Date: Thu, 28 Aug 2003 08:40:23 -0500 From: "Kevin Abato" <delorean@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Replacement Battery I feel dumb for even asking this..... I want to put a new battery in my Delorean, but I am not sure what type to use (not brand, just the type/rating) the only time I ever did this for a car, I used a book at the auto parts store to look up my model. The few times I have tried this, the book does not list Deloreans. And every time I mean to look at the battery in the car, I forget. Also, I store my car from Nov-Mar and do not run it. Dont know if that plays into choosing a battery or not. So here I am... asking what should I get?
