Ok....I have had several replies from people who are interested.
I am going to now set two dates. Sunday July 20th as the initial day,
and the 27th as a rain date.
I am currently thinking we can meet at a specified location, take about

I am having the dents in my door fixed soon, and all this bad weather
combined with the fact that my car was injured has made me miss driving
it.
Also, the Delorean Mid-Atlantic club has recently gained some new
members who have contacted me with many questions, and a desire to meet
other owners.
Putting all this together, I was wondering if anyone would like to do a
Summer "Fun Run" in Mid-late July. Perhaps meeting somewhere in Central
NJ, and then going on a short road trip. I would like our destination
to be some kind of a BBQ or nice outdoor resteraunt for a lunch or early
dinner. This would give new members/owners a chance to

Something similar happened to me in Memphis last summer. One of the Fuel Injectors had popped out
slightly. The noise went away while on the highway, but at slower speeds/idle there was a very
loud hissing. Jim Reeve spotted the problem and popping it back into place fixed it. Just
something easy to check for.

Marv mentioned that lunch will be on the beach. Right now the temperature of Lake Erie near Cleveland, about 40 miles from said beach, is 61F (16C for you Canadians). That's a bit chilly, but a short swim might be doable.
For those who missed the 2001 Show and Shine, the Lamplighter Inn does have a great swimming pool. The pool is indoors, under a roof that is both transparent and retractable. This hotel is quite luxurious for the price.

An honest to goodness whistle is usually a vacuum leak. A high pitched
whine is usually bearings. Belts can squeal too (especially when old,
cold, or wet).
Late in message you indicate is worse at lower RPM's -- characteristic
of vacuum leaks. Early in message you indicate increases with RPM's --
characteristic of bearings.
Use a piece of heater hose like a stethescope and listen all over
engine to pinpoint source of noise.
Symptoms of leaking head gasket are misfires, steam in exhaust, foam
or milky white residue in oil, rust on spark plug electrode, and
sometimes you can smell antifreeze (though odor is usually stronger on
external leak). Doesn't really make a noise other than engine running
very badly.
Overflow tube on coolant expansion tank should only be wet as system
reaches homeostasis (after fluid added). If antifreeze ever boils,
will come out many more places than just that little tube.

In addition to the idler bearings, you might also want to check the
condition of the seals for the fuel injectors. On the way to
Memphis last year an owner had the retaining clip pop up, and the
seal unseated slightly, resulting in an ear piercing whistle of a
vacumme leak. I have also noticed a lesser form of this whistle on
a Maryland owner's car, and even my own 4 weeks ago when the engines
were cold. Just another thing to check.

When I had a similar problem it was the idler pulley wheel on the upper
drivebelt going bad. When I had a leaky exhust gasket it wasn't a whistling sound,
but...

Single action hazard switch is more simply engineered than double
action headlight switch. Should be longer lived. Plus is half purchase
price. That's why I used when rewiring exterior light circuit (button
graphics are interchangeable). Recommend same. Note that after
conversion, I have adjacent hazard switch to fall back on in case of
failure (keep a jumper in car for terminals 1 & 10 on hazard harness
-- turn signals).
#5939's photo album has pic of what can happen when factory headlight
switch fails. Almost lost the car from that one.

Hello Aaron,
Go to the photo section, I've added more pics and instructions on how to remove the dash. On a difficulty level between 1 and 5. (5 being the hardest) This would be a 2.
Remember there are no mods what so ever. If you need further instruction send me an email.
I purchased my LED's from http://www.myroadster.net/led.asp they have the best prices.
I bought a total of 16 Hyper-Bright Bulbs for the dash.
6 Red Warning Lights - Hyper-brite Red - #194HR
5 Dash Illumination - Hyper-brite Red - #194HR
1 Amber Fuel Light - Hyper-Brite Amber - #194HA
3 Green Turn/Low Beam - Hyper-Brite White - #194HW
1 Blue High Beam - Hyper-Brite White - #194HW
Note: the battery light will not work with the LED installed. Until the Load Equalizer arrives and I can get it to work I might not install it. So if you order yor light just forget that one for now, then you only need 15 total.
Also, you don't need to use red for your illumination, white works just as well. Blue would probably work too. But sorry haven't tested blue.
Those bulbs also can be used for your door lights. You would need 4 Hyper-bright Amber and 2 Hyper-brite Reds. The benefit, you can leave your doors open without worrying about killing the battery right away.
One time I left my door ajar and the lights were on all night. The next afternoon (about 20 hours later) the car started no problem.
The LED dome Light arrived today, pretty cool. The LED's are pretty tiny but put out almost as much light as the stock ones. They are more of a darker white than the stock yellow illumination.
I ordered one to try it out for the interior. Now I will order the rest of them.
Dome Light interior Front- 44mm Long White
Dome Light interior Shelf- 44mm Long White
Trunk Light- 44mm Long White
Engine Light- 44mm Long White (should be 37mm but 44mm will fit)
License Plate Lights- 37mm Long White (2 required)

Pull the fuel injectors and have them cleaned and tested. Replace the
seals when you reinstall. Double check that there are no vacuum leaks,
check the plug over the mixture screw for a leak. Check the timing and
the Lambda system. On the timing make sure the mechanical and the
vacuum advance is working. On the Lambda make sure it goes into
"closed loop" and is fluctuating . You may need to adjust the mixture
screw to get it right but not before you get everything else perfect.
Look under the intake to be sure the tube for the idle motor is in and
the "O" ring is seated and sealing. You might also want to change the
air filter.
