I'm pretty certain the smaller blue box in the engine bay is the dc-dc
converter below

The controller is quoted as capable of providing 100kW.
The motor is quoted as being used in 200 mph + race cars.
There are no other unidentified boxes of tricks in the pictures.
It looks like they have simply bought an off the shelf kit and done some
simple machining to make it fit the Delorean.
I believe that they have made an electric Delorean and achieved the speeds
quoted.
From all the info, and particularly how their web page looked a few weeks
ago I reckon they are just trying to persuade someone to inject lots of cash
into their beer drinking fund.
It will be interesting to see what they manage on September 7th when they
hire Nashville speedway for the day. And I wonder if someone will be keeping
a close eye on their stops to change drivers only?

I know this has been beat to death but I need new tires now! I'm
lucky my Delorean is in one piece, I developed a leak during the
Dream Cruise last weekend which I discovered showing Shannon my new
tire gauge, well I took the tire off today and found one hellava gash
on the inside of the back tire very lucky it didn't blow [Since i
drive my D the way it was intended... FAST] WHOAA!!!
Anyway I'd like to buy Cooper GT's so please if anyone is using them
e-mail me and give me your opinion also can the back tires be bought
in blackwalls or are they only available in White Raised Letters?

I mentioned on the List that Universal Studios had contacted me regarding
use of my DeLorean for promoting the release of the BTTF DVDs here in
Sydney (Australia). As a result of the posting, I've had several enquiries
from 'D' owners in the US requesting advice on how their cars can be used
for the American release. To be honest, I have no idea!! Try contacting
Universal Studios. Universal Studios here in Aus contacted me after
having done a web search for 'D' owners in Australia. They found my car
through my son's website at www.deloreanaustralia.com. I believe Universal
did a cost analysis on bringing to Australia a DeLorean from Universal
Studios in LA, but it was cost-prohibitive ($60,000).
Universal Studios have been in touch with me twice since June and have
indicated they would like my car from 25Aug to 01 Sep. I've had no further
contact since July and with the 25th only a few days away, I'm starting to
think that the requirement for the car may turn out to be a
'fizzer'. Either that or they have found another car!!

Parts Manual 7-1-2, Item 36
Both the DMC Texas & DeLorean One sites list it online for $9.63.
It is just an 'L' shaped rubber hose that attaches to the hole in the plenum
and routes water down, away from the fuel tank. With the tight bend, it IS
prone to clogging with debris so you might consider slipping a small piece of
screening under the SCUTTLE FINISHER (P/N 105047 Parts manual 8-3-0, Item 16)
in front of the windshield to keep things out of the plenum.

Armed with an ammeter I confirmed quickly that the brake switch is intact
internally.
I used contact cleaner to improve the points on the boards and kept picking
up a dead signal. I had noticed the night before that the 15AMP fuse No. 9
had blown.
This according to the plastic fuse box cover and diagram attached to the
inside of the wooden panel covering the fuses states that this fuse should
be for only the rear window demister and electric door mirror motors.
Initially I thought that I should fix the brake light problem before finding
the cause of No. 9 to blow.
I changed my mind and placed a correct 10AMP fuse in the No.9 position. Not
only did the door mirror motors kick back to life but the brake lights also
burst into life.
What caused fuse No.9 to blow. With the 10AMP in place I turned on every
single electrical system including air-con, fogs, high beam, indictors,
radio etc. The fuse has not blown and the quad brake lights are still
working!
The plastic fuse box cover has a label stating No.18 should be a fuse spare
where as on the other diagram it is supposed to be the stop lights. Is my
car abnormal having the stop lights sharing with the demister and door
mirror motors???
Anyway, I shall check my mirror motors occasionally, if they stop working
then I know the brake lights will have too.

Subject: Door alignment was Stuck door
Finally, I got my drivers side door open. I took to countless number of body
shops and mechanics and none of them would touch it. I think that the front
latch was locked, I think that is why the door would not open. However; when
I tried to manually unlock by pulling on the rods, I would hear a click but
the door still wouldn't open. To solve my problem, I took a flat head
screwdriver and placed it on the latch assembly, and started hitting it with a
rubber mallet, breaking off plastic pieces. Wouldn't you know the door swung
open. I have a new latch coming from Houston. But I would like to get the
door aligned before I put the new latch in. How would I go about this
process?
