Plus I'm fairly sure that the PRV is an interference engine so replacing the chain wouldn't be half of the repair needed. Anyone had much luck putting a B23/B230FT engine in a Delorean? I can't imagine that the plumbing would be more cumbersome than the PRV. Probably not worth it if all you're looking to do is facilitate an easy cam belt change on the side of the road. :) Weight difference wouldn't be that great but you can build out 300+ HP quite eaily. -- | Matthew N. I have purchased about 10 or so Pioneers for different people as well as my family. As far as I am concerned, they have a 0% failure rate and the sound and features are excellent for the low price. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jack Singer" <jsinger@xxxxxxx> Subject: [DML] Radio recommendations? > I am tired of the one bad product that is in my D, the radio. You can temporarily repair a leaky water hose (tape it tight and don't skimp) to get you to a shop. A set of screw drivers (philips and flat head) and an emergency repair belt. The belt is a straight piece of belt with an adjustable clamp on it. Perfect for if the belt to your alternator/water pump snaps. Just wrap the belt around the pulley, tension it up with the bracket and tighten it. No need to loosen the alternator and moving it to get the new on eon. When you get home/shop, then you can put a permanent one on. And also a very small metric socket set. All of the things mentioned are very basic....you don't need to carry spare belts, fuel pumps, fuel filters, etc. since any shop you have to bring your D too can readily get them themselves from any auto parts store. You don't need to carry an auto parts store in your car because A. you are not going to perform major repairs on the side of the road and B. The shop can get the parts with no problem. Possibly 3 versions, basic, intermediate, and advanced. (Paper clips in each one, I'd forgotten about those, even though Bob Zilla mentioned them in a previous (Zillaclips)). Too bad we don't have a chat room to bat this stuff around, would be interesting to see who thought what should be in which kit. How about it James, what happened to the proposed chat room/Houston?
