Okay, for anyone that has been following this little mini-saga, I finally found the male plug that the female end from the seat belt attaches to. I had to remove the entire console, AGAIN, and it was under the carpet and console, behind the seat, on the drivers side, about 12 inches up from the floor. I was right in that the red and black wires changed colors thru the connection. Actually, only the red one. Black remained black, but red changed to black/purple which of course goes to the buzzer logic box. One interesting side note, where the belt attaches to the frame, the two wires are supposed to loop under the attachment, but at some point (probably the factory), the wires were pinched under the big mounting washer and an intermittent open circuit was produced, causing the system to work sometimes and sometimes not at all. After repairing, the ohmmeter readings I got were: seat belt not fastened--------1 ohm seat belt fastened------------infinity All this makes perfect sense, because if you fasten your seat belt, you automatically open the microswitch and hence, remove the ground for the buzzer logic box and it is inop.
