Send me the battery.... There are all sorts of naked chicks down here to have their pic taken with your battery. You could put it in your truck and show it off lol Jack Stiefel - Tampa, Fl DMC Vin 3461 & 16879 -----Original Message----- From: "timnagin" <timnagin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: 11/25/2006 5:41 PM Subject: RE: [DMCForum] Optima batteries... That is why I was considering a deep cycle version. Optima doesn't list anything for my truck so I guess I will call them and see what they think. I looked at them today and the regular battery for my truck is $74.99 and the Optima is $189.00 so it better be good. For that price it should have a picture of a naked chick on it. :) Greg -----Original Message----- From: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:DMCForum%40yahoogroups.com> [mailto:DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:DMCForum%40yahoogroups.com> ] On Behalf Of Jack Stiefel Sent: Saturday, November 25, 2006 3:30 PM To: DMCForum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:DMCForum%40yahoogroups.com> Subject: RE: [DMCForum] Optima batteries... Just dont let it drain down EVER it will die. The gel inside does not like to be run down. Eric is correct, if left unhooked they will last a long time as well as in a daily driver but in your case Greg if you had the optima you could be in more trouble. My D has gone thru about 5 Optima batteries all cause I forgot to unhook them. My Optima battery sat unhooked in my car for 8 months this year- and when I needed to go again I just hooked it up and turned the key- no recharging/jump required. I don't mind paying the extra for it; just want to make sure it is a good investment. Standing in a cold parking lot in the middle of nowhere with my inverter running and hearing *click* when I try to start it really sucks. I read about a few people on here having problems with them. Greg, When I bought an Optima for my DeLorean, the parts store didn't have a listing for DeLorean's in the optima catalog- I just hand picked out one with all the correct features. If you can find one that fits your truck, and you wanna give $200 for it, do it. From my experience, Optima batteries are superior and worth the money. Eric Itzel vin 4433 Yahoo!
