[DMCForum] GTA Turbo engine photos / Eurofest

I know it's been a few days since I promised some pics, but finally got around to it yesterday. It was a bit cold....

Intersting points to note: The exhaust outlet from the turbo drops down and runs downt he left, just like the D's. The Water pump thermostat housing is reversed compared to the D's and the 25 turbo's. All that needs is to be turned around and hooked up like the D's. The real bugger is that the exhaust manifolds come up higher and are level with the rocker covers, where out coolant pipes go. Also that the turbo is a fraction too far forward in the engine bay to fit strait in a D - by about 1/2"!

It looks like there's no reason at all on the GTA engine to refit DeLorean rocker covers (or Renault 30 ones - oh look, I have an engine on ths helf :-)and just move the idlespeed motor. That'll tidy things up a bit on the right.
