I'd invite all of you slamming Marc to look at yourself. Exactly what
is the point of messages like this one but to "generate ill will" toward
Marc? I'm not trying to slam anyone, just want you all to realize how
mean-spirited message like this appear. I find it troubling how often
people will express their opinions couched as though they are facts.
As far as opinions go, I disgree with Mike and Gary about Marc's
intentions. I read just about every message that comes through here,
and I don't recall any message from Marc that I interpreted as outright
trolling or ill-intended. Marc makes a lot of good points that I often
agree with, but I think sometimes he carries on arguments past their
useful period and often uses less-than-tactful language, which turns a
lot of people off to his point.
Am I more thick-skinned than you who complain about him? Do I have a
longer attention span? Is it just because I don't outright disagree
with the majority of his arguments that allows me to tolerate his
repetitive rants? I don't know, but I am curious. Either way, I
suppose I just wanted to make it clear that not everyone is on the
"Marc's a jerk" bandwagon. :)
Regards,
Jon Heese
