Erik,
There are several connections back there that can cause the car to die when 
they become loose and open the circuit. If the car doesn't even try to 
start, then you should check the medium size white connector. The white/red 
wire sends the signal to the starter to crank. This wouldn't cause the car 
to die once running, so you probably have a few more loose/dirty 
connections in there.
If I were you, I would just go through all the connectors and clean them 
with contact cleaner. Verify all the connections are in good shape and not 
broken. Then add a bit of dielectric grease and reconnect them. There is an 
excellent PDF in the DMCNews group file section that covers what every 
single wire does in that corner.
