This is a legit Delorean. I know of several D owners who have simply
replaced the console with the 82 & up model. Some do it because of a
non functional clock, some just prefer the look of the shifter bezel
without the clock.

And you'll find a lot of stickshift cars on eBay listed as automatics
simply because of an ebay page script. Anytime when you are setting up
a ebaymotors auction, it always selects automatic as the default
transmission. If you choose manual, then make any settings changes, it
defaults back to automatic, and many noobie eBayers simply overlook
this issue.

And any body gap issues are merely the result if slightly improper
side stripe application. The installer merely didn't line them up
perfectly.

This is actually a beautiful early vin, a very nice Delorean at that,
as most early vins are not always in the best of shape.

There are PLENTY of other fradulent eBay auctions to watch out for.
Save the energy for them.
