I'd be interested in what modern Diesel engines from
Europe may fit the DMC transmission.

If you (Rich) or anyone were to attempt this
conversion, it would be better to use a more modern
engine than what Volvo used 20+ years ago.  The modern
options burn cleaner, and are more powerful.... But
not available in the USA!  :(

One of the web sites I read said that Volvo
discontinued the Diesel due to reliability problems.
