I got pics of it from PF.
My Grandfather was a machinist. He worked at a place which made custom
machine parts for those machines used to automate the canning / packaging of
food.
Anyway, the cup holders he used to make would hook onto the inside of the
drivers door (using the window opening). They were simple stainless bands,
bent into shape and spot welded.
It seems all the cup holders (including the "official" Delorean one) are all
plastic and in my opinion just look cheap. They are usually hooked in
somewhere or permanently mounted with screws.
I want something more elegant than that and in stainless. Something that
looks like it belongs, not a cheap looking piece of plastic.
And now someone is saying "what the hell do all these people need cup
holders for". My answer is simple - I would rather be driving my Delorean
than having to stop and take a water break (bladder training required)!
