Oh please -- coming from the man who just claimed that the only
distinguishing characteristic of "London Buses" is that they're
painted red...

I believe my old AA B&B guide called that area Devonshire as well. I
certainly didn't dream the name up myself.
Surely you Brits can find something better than this to complain about
Americans!
Little bit of trivia for you: there's only 1 "lake" in the Lake
District -- all the rest are "waters".
