I wouldn't count on it 100%. I don't live out there (haven't for
almost 10 years), but it wouldn't surprise me if there was another
DeLorean mechanic available in the area. Sometimes mechanics will go
from one shop to another, and sometimes they open up their own.
Ironicly enough, just like Don Steger, and the other Don did when they
left Sweedish Automotive Service, and started up DeLorean  Motor Center.

Las Vegas is the perfect example of this. Roger Daniels was factory
trained by DMCA in Irvine back in the day. He was a mechanic for the
Las Vegas DeLorean dealership. After DMC folder, Rodger left to open
his own shop, and took the DeLorean owners with him. To this day, I
have herd, and even met one original DeLorean owner who still takes
his car there. So if a simular situation like that came about. Or even
if it was just someone who was an early Volvo specialist, it wouldn't
surprise me.

Remember, California is DOA turf, so allot of information about shops
down there is pretty surpressed by them. Matter of fact, I don't
really know of any Southern California owners that are on the
internet, let alone actively participate with the online community.
