All depends on how soon you want to do the job again. 
You don't know how long the disk has been slipping, so
it is hard to say how much meat you have worn off of
it (assuming this is the problem).

It should be clear to any one looking at the flywheel
that it has a step-cut on it..  So it depends on how
attentive the person who did the work was.  It is
extra work to cut the steps, so not uncommon for
someone to ignore that detail.
