Someday we are going to have to sit down and discuss some of these
things over a beer or some other libation. I often think that one of
the problems with an exchange such as is prompted via these "chat
rooms" is that one cannot see/read the other person except through the
words posted. I don't think we disagree on very many things when it
comes to business ethics.
Being in business for myself, I can't begin to tell you how frustrated
I get over the tactics of the BIG players in my business. Oh, well, I
could go off on a rant here, but don't have the time.
I would like to briefly comment upon your reference to Ed. B. Again,
I agree almost completely with your take. I have on several occasions
said/posted that while I don't like the way Ed does business, he has a
perfect right to run his business as he sees fit. I will, however,
say that in the days when I lived in Southern California and was
attempting to be active in the DOA, I saw what I perceived to be
actions by Ed which were, in my opinion, intended to be deceptive at
best and, again in my opinion, insolent and disrespectiful of the
members of the DOA. Had it not been for some of those actions, the
DOA could be the premier DeLorean organization in the world today.
Instead, it has become almost laughable.
