I thought about that too, but for the 3.5 conversion I
would not mind having a 5-speed too..  and again, this
process seems like a lot more work than a trans swap.

After speaking to a few people who have converted an
Auto to a STD, it is not all that bad.  The other
direction is a bit more complex because it involves
cutting the frame for the shifter..  From what I am
told, the STD shifter is mounted higher in the frame
than the Auto.
