Subject: [DMCForum] anyone have an extra fuel pump??
  Hi!
Long time no post!  I was recently driving my DeLorean when finally
the fuel pump made a very distinct whirling and wild wizzing sound
that could only mean one thing!  It's not working!  ANyway, I wanted
to go with the club for a run in March so I really need to get the
car working again.  Her's the problem - a couple months ago I
purchased a fuel pump from a reputable DMC retailer here and
installed it.  I had a clean tank and brand new tank filter.  All
was well... until the whole thing stoppeD.  Well I sent it to Bosch
and they cut it open to find a chunk of crap in there.  Well the
isides are now clean and still brand new while the shell has been
cut open.  So I bought a pump for $150 and got nothing out of it.  I
have been using my old tired fuel pump since then but as stated
above it is now going bye bye.  So I feel a bit flustered... i don't
have a lot of money because I'm a poor student and I thought my
first fuel pump would actually work!  Well, the retailer did nothing
to help me and all I want to do is get the car running.  So... now
you all heard my sob story and the bottom line is,
does anybody have a used or cheap fuel filter I can purchase for the
time between me getting a brand new pump and rubber components?
thanks in advance... my direct e-mail is schaub-art@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
  thanks,
  Brian
