Re: [DMCForum] Let 'Em GO

Joe,

Your responses are refreshing and interesting.  I always enjoying
reading people's opinions.  I can now see where you are coming from.   I
have a number of friends in the military (Navy seal, Air force Vice
admiral, Air force intelligence Turkey, Saudi intelligence,  ET 4 navy,
and lots of Vietnam army.  My father was a Marine who survived Siapan,
Terrawa, and Iwo Jima.  only 1/3 survived all these battles. ).  Their
stories about the "information" they got from the military are
fascination and very creative.  Lots of imagination comes out of the
military "information" office.   OH, That's right BUSHIE wanted to make
a cabinent post called the "Office of Disinformation!!" Yikes!

As does my 12 years of active duty in the US Air
Force, my two sons that are retired military (one
retired US Navy, one retired US Marine Corps), and my
grand daughter now in basic training at Fort Jackson,
SC.

During my younger years,  I spend a lot of time in Europe consulting to
drug and medical device manufacturers.  I spend with a number of
families for months and we discussed many quality of life issues and the
US.    It was very enlightening listening to THEIR VERSION of history
and compared to what we are taught in the US.

Each country has its own view point.  Which one is right, I doubt we
will ever know.

Here is an interesting story.  According to Brazilian history.  THe
Wright brothers were NOT the first ones to have powered CONTROLLED air
flight.  A Brazilian aeronautic engineer did this and he took his
aircraft all over the world demonstrating true POWERED controlled air
flight.  The fine point in  their argument is that KITTY HAWK as a 40
mph head wind which makes flight very easy in this beach area.  That is
why the wright brothers chose that location.  AND we still do the same
thing at airports today.

We take off into the wind.

The Brazilian airplane took off WITHOUT any head wind.  So whose history
is right or most accurate?
