Think the constitution entitles you to a jury trial?  
Think it protects you again unlawful restraint (jailing)  Think again.  

Since the start of the United States, the government has ignored the
constitution numerous times when it is convenient.  The first time was
when the second president JoHn Adams passed the 1st Sedition Act. 

This act was passed allow jailing without trial, anyone who spoke up
agains the US being separate from England. Less the 50% of the people
in  the 1780 supported the US being separate and once the US broke
from England the economy tanked.  So people wanted to go back.  Well,
the sedition act put them in Jail. No trial.  No jury. 

THe next time a sedition act was passed was in the Civil war.  The
Civil war was fought over northern tarriffs on the souths cotton
production-not slavery.  Slavery was just a caused Lincoln and his
cabinet later came up with to justify the war. See the tax tariff
passed in 1858 on the south. 

Anyway, the north passed another sedition act and anyone up north who
talked against the war was jailed.

The next time the constitution was avoided was just before WWI when
the US jailed anyone associated with the world wide labor movement
called "the international"  THis sedition act was passed in the 1920s
because the middle class was getting too much money and unions were
getting too powerful. The US kept the head of the US Interational
party in Jail until 1992 just before he died. Think the US does not
have any "Political prisoners. THink again. 

The next time a sedition act was passed was just prior to WWII.  This
one got really out of hand.  THere was a Wisconsin senator that spoke
up against getting involved and they jailed him.  THat went to the
Supreme court and he was eventually released but only because he had
the money and power to fight this illegal avoidance of the
constitution.   However, we all know how Japanese americans were
illegal restrainted.  The bad part about this is that they lost all
their possession AND NEVER GOT THE BACK. YES, THE US PUNISHED JAPANESE
AMERICANS FOR WWII EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT CAUSE THE WAR. 

Well, some of you will remember the sedition act of the 1950s that was
passed against so called american communists.  How many thousands of
people lost their jobs and careers based on false rumor and claims. 

And Now we have the Patriot Act.  Did you know the Patriot act was
model after John Adams sedition act of the second president. Yes,
history repeats itself and the constitution is only an illusion.
