Lauren,

Here's a thought for your problem.  When I recovered
my Cavalier headliner, I discovered the front and rear
were held up to the roof with velcro strips, two
pieces on each end about 2 inches long.  The fuzzy
part was stapled to the headliner board and the hook
side was glued to the roof.  It made taking it out and
replacing it a snap.  Just a thought....
