I could say something about that, but it would be totally wrong. LOL

Well, I have never had trouble getting in and out of an MGB or that '87
944. Those are the only "performance" cars I've ever been in.

Unlike a lot of people in the car-nut world, I just don't have the kind
of money which would allow me to get one fantastic fun sporty car after
another. The reason I wanted a DeLorean is because it looks good just
sitting there (which it's apt to do), it's affordable, and (big reason)
it's relatively easy to work on. I'm probably going to get it and then
call it done until I get a house.

Plus, the other car guys seem to be a bit more elitist than the DeLorean
people ... for the most part, the DeLorean community seems to be pretty
cool, laid-back people. (...With the possible exception of election-year
politics, heh.) Even if they aren't rich, they share a love for the car.

I'm from a middle-class background, have never lived in a mansion, or
even a house with a garage ... never owned more than one vehicle at a
time ... of course I'm trying to rise above my history but it takes a
lot of work. Some guys think I'm worthless because of my background, or
because I haven't finished my degree yet, make less than $x per year,
don't own a house, just pick a reason -- anything that makes me
different from those guys ... and then some people just plain don't like
my weird personality. Doesn't seem to matter so much in DeLorean world,
with the possible exception of the people on this list and the DML who
simply can't stand me. It'd be nice to collect cars, but I'm not into
collecting for collecting's sake, nor do I think it's really necessary
to have more than a couple of vehicles. I just need something fun to
work on and drive, and I gotta admit it's nice to have something
beautiful to work on, and I happen to think that the DeLorean is a
beautiful car.

That's probably a little too much Zen for one evening, but I just
finished work and am beginning to relax. Sorry.
