Well, on the subject of Ashcroft... He came from right here in SW 
Missouri. 

He actually lost in the run for Governor to Mel Carnahan... WHO WAS 
DEAD AT THE TIME!!!

Only for Dubya to later install him as the The Freedom Eraticator 
(kinda like a super hero), or..uh..er Attorney General, I mean. 

I can give you many "Ashcroft is a looney" storys that are common 
knowledge down here if you guys aren't already sure he is. I mean 
hell, we would have rather had a corpse as Governor instead.
