Mike, you make me wonder when you call this piece plastic.
I'm not sure we are on the same page.  You are either
speaking of the black painted aluminum channel or the fuzzy
rubber that snaps into it.  The rubber is mostly just a
press fit.  If you are having trouble making it stick in the
corners then make sure that it isn't stretched/elongated as
it is pressed in.  The glue that I'm talking about is just a
little insurance to make sure it stays.

If the aluminum channel has come loose from the fixed glass,
that is another issue.
